South Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer ~ Tyler & Karen Wedding at The Edgewood at Lake Tahoe
AMAZING…There is no other word to describe Tyler, Karen and The Edgewood at Lake Tahoe!!! I first met Tyler and Karen last spring in South Lake Tahoe to shoot their engagement photos. It ended up being a very cold and windy Saturday afternoon, but we had so much fun going around the lake to a few different locations and getting to know each other. Tyler and Karen currently live in Ohio, but met here in California a few years back while working for Budweiser. They feel in love with Lake Tahoe while living in California so they decided to get married there. But, honestly who doesn’t fall in love with Lake Tahoe! Personally it is one of my favorite places on Earth!
Their wedding was beautiful, Karen was stunning, Tyler was looking his best, the bridal party was a kick in the pants funny, the views were amazing, the weather was perfect and the sunset did not disappoint.
Congrats Tyler and Karen, I hope you move back to California so I can work with you again.

South Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer ~ Jenny and Ray
I had never photographed a couples wedding without meeting them before hand, but there is always a first for everything. Jenny and Ray are from Philadelphia so I had only spoken with them over the phone before meeting them on their wedding day. Like all other photographers I like to know the couples personalities before working with them…outgoing vs. reserved, laid back vs. on the go. Like all of other brides and grooms I have worked with Jenny and Ray were a lot of fun to work with. They tied the knot back in August in South Lake Tahoe at Saint Theresa Catholic Church and held the reception at the South Lake Tahoe Golf Course. The Lake Tahoe Golf Course has breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and amazing grounds. Ray is in the Navy so he was looking his best in his uniform along side his stunning new wife. I love how they incorporated their swords in the ceremony (be sure to check out the pictures below). Congrats Jenny and Ray!

Nick and Kasie got hitched back in September just north of Sacramento in a town called Gridley on a family members ranch. If you know Gridley at all you would know that it is very country. That is exactly what Nick and Kasie’s wedding was, a laid back country wedding. The ranch had a amazing old rustic barn where we were able to snap a few pictures. I love how natural the happy couple was while we were taking pictures. It was so obvious that they really enjoyed being with one another. North Lake Tahoe Tahoe Wedding Photographer ~ Matt and Kristy
Matt and Kristy tied the knot at Stanford Pine Chalet in Tahoe City back in October. Just like most venues in the Lake Tahoe basin, the Stanford Pine Chalet has a beautiful view of the amazing Sierras. I just loved the view of the peaks behind the ceremony site. They are an outdoorsy couple, so the venue fit them perfectly. Matt and Kristy really enjoy fishing together, so we found enough time to go down to the Truckee River and fish a little between the ceremony and reception. The fishing hooks for each guest added a great touch to their wedding. They made them and designed cute little boxes for them. Congrats Matt and Kristy!

Sandy and Aaron tied the knot this past August at Rome Valley Vineyard in Garden Valley (about 30 minutes from Auburn). Rome Valley was just an amazing venue with an extraordinary 360 degree view of the Sierras and Sacramento Valley. To top it off there was a full moon that evening! I did Sandy and Aaron’s engagement photos about a year ago in Sacramento and was so excited to work with them again. They are such and amazing couple. Congrats Sandy and Aaron!!!

South Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer ~ Jennifer and Richard
I always struggle to find words to describe weddings, but their is no other word than AMAZING to describe Jennifer and Richard’s wedding. They got married in Monterey in June (I know I am behind on my blog posts). My main foces this summer was to shoot a wedding and get all the edited images back to the couple within a few weeks. Since I was hard at work doing that I never had a moment to blog this summer. So over the next few months I will be posting a wedding or event every week. Anyways, back to the wedding. There was so much love radiating between the couple, it was just hard not to ignore. The weather was on our side the entire time, everywhere in Monterey was extremely foggy the entire day except at the country club where the wedding was held. I hope you enjoy all the photos. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph Noland and Alisha’s wedding at Bullards Bar Reservoir outside of Nevada City. Words can’t really explain how much fun this wedding was. I personally got to experience many firsts…like hiking up to a waterfall in wedding attire, watching a groom jump in freezing cold water to barefoot ski and photographing the bride and groom immersed in a hot tub (with their wedding clothes on). A couple of week ago I met Aaron and Sandy in Downtown Sacramento to take their Engagement photos. Details, details, details…Marcella and Jaime’s wedding was full of wonderful details. Jason and Leah were married in Lake Wildwood on a lawn overlooking the lake. The venue was amazing! The couple decided to have some of their wedding photos done at Empire Mine in Grass Valley before the ceremony. Empire Mine is a beautiful state park, I love to photograph there. Joe and Sarah got married a few weeks ago in Newcastle, CA. Before the ceremony, we were able to sneak away to Old Newcastle for some bride and bridesmaids photos. After living in the Auburn/ Newcastle area for many years it was the first time I had ever explored Old Newcastle. I was surprised at how cool some of the buildings were. The wedding was unique, energetic and wild just like Joe and Sarah. The reception concluded with the bride doing a keg stand!
